CARING FOR PUPPIES

  • Wash hands before handling and feeding puppy
  • Reconstituted PuppyGro should be fed at 38°C (body temperature). Use a thermometer.
  • Mixing ratio should always be 1 scoop powder per 2 scoops water.

  • For first 15 days, offer milk solution from a nipple bottle, just deep enough in the mouth.
  • Reconstituted PuppyGro may be refrigerated up to 24 hours. Discard any unused portion after 24 hours.
  • Frequent feeding of small amounts decreases chances of digestive upsets.
  • Clean ALL feeding utensils and equipment after each feeding: rinse in lukewarm water, wash with a detergent in hot (80ºC) water, rinse with clean water (ideally a 10% bleach solution) and dry thoroughly with a clean towel.
  • Fresh water should always be provided to puppies.
  • At 35 days, start offering regular puppy feed in small amounts. Weaning usually occurs at about 45 days.

We are 20 year CKC registered whippet breeders. We have always had Puppy Gro in stock ‘just in case’. Our most recent litter was larger than normal and we had 3 very small pups. We sponge fed them Puppy Gro and these puppies flourished. They loved the formula and grew like weeds. I am convinced Puppy Gro saved their lives.

Thank you for your review! We are so happy to hear that the puppies are doing well. Good luck with your future litters!

  2. Sarah

We bought this for one of our tiny newborn pups with cleft palette who wasn’t feeding well. She took really well to it from a syringe and started growing great. We bought it because it has colostrum in it. Now our dog (the mother) eats it very enthusiastically on top of her kibble. Super happy this was available at our pet store!

Hi Sarah, thanks for taking the time to leave a review! We’re so happy to hear that puppy and mom both love it!
