Canadian Sales Manager

Grober Inc.  is a diversified Agri-Food Company with more than 40 years of experience in agri-business.  Grober Nutrition, a division of Grober Inc. is the leading producer of milk-based products for young animals in Canada.  We are presently seeking a full-time Canadian Sales Manager.

Reporting to the General Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for building market position by maintaining and building trust in Grober brand and private label products, locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships in the Canadian marketplace.  The Sales Manager is also responsible for managing, coaching and mentoring Territory Sales Representatives (“Young Animal Specialists”).  The Sales Manager and the sales team are responsible for providing exceptional service and value to all Grober customers, and to continue to build sales and loyalty.

Position Requirements

  • University or college education complimentary to the role
  • 7 + years of previous, related experience in sales or marketing, preferably in the Agri-business industry
  • 5+ years sales management with proven supervisory and leadership expertise
  • Demonstrated success with Business-to-business strategy and sales approach
  • A proven track record in developing and implementing business plans and successfully meeting targets
  • Skilled in Microsoft suite including Excel, with strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and translate sales goals, technical concepts and strategies to a diverse group of customers
  • Professional approach with an established peer network

Preferred

  • Experience utilizing a CRM program
  • Forecasting and budgeting experience
  • Bilingual (French) would be an asset

The role involves interfacing with all levels within the customer environment and requires the ability to travel frequently within Canada.

Territory Sales Manager – USA

In this role, the successful candidates will help expand the Grober market into Ohio and Michigan by providing technical sales support for Grober Nutrition’s products and equipment, while promoting our products and services to new and prospective customers. The Milk Replacer Sales Team is a primary resource for technical support to troubleshoot animal performance and equipment function. Teamwork and delivering a superior customer experience will be key to the success of our sales representatives.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Strengthening and supporting customer relationships and business development opportunities
  • Collaborating with the Grober Sales Team to achieve sales targets for both private label and branded products
  • Working closely with senior leaders to develop and execute sales strategy for new customers and product distributors including the development of a plan to drive sales results with assigned accounts
  • Proactively analyzing sales performance of assigned territory and accounts
  • Maintaining proactive and regular contact with customers and alliances

Quality Assurance/HACCP Coordinator  – USA

Grober Nutrition LLC is a growing animal food producing and processing facility with an exciting full-time opportunity to join our Quality team as a Quality Assurance / HACCP coordinator in our Auburn, NY location.

We are looking for a customer and supplier focused thought-leader, with a passion for quality and food safety and drive to constantly learn, grow and achieve. The successful candidate will be essential to the success of our team and growth of our business.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee third-party certification programs, including HACCP, to meet regulatory and governmental compliance and ensure product quality and safety
  • Coordinate internal programs to ensure the quality of incoming raw materials and outgoing finished products
  • Maintenance and re-assessment of standard operating procedures and other compliance documents, including those required for a HACCP program
  • Tracking and responding to governmental and/or customer inquiries
  • Providing guidance to other departments to maintain regulatory and governmental compliance and/or address non-compliance(s)

Lab Technician – USA

We have an exciting opportunity on our Quality Assurance team for a customer and supplier focused innovator and thought-leader, with an open and creative mind and an analytical eye. This Lab Technician trail-blazer will take on an important role within the team on a shift from 12-8pm to maximize their effectiveness with our production schedule.

General Maintenance Worker – USA

We are looking for a General Maintenance Worker to complement our team! Do you have 3-5 years of experience in maintenance and do your friends regularly refer to you as MacGyver? If so, this might be the perfect role for you!

In this role, the successful candidate will perform general plant maintenance duties, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and perform small facilities repairs (including motors, pumps, sensors, etc).

  • Checking calf health
  • Receiving new calves
  • Vaccinating

  • Cleaning barns and equipment
  • Repairing equipment as needed
  • Other general on farm tasks as assigned

Position Requirements

  • Experience on farm is preferred, but not required.
  • Some computer skills preferred
  • Some general ability to work with tools also preferred
  • Must be able to lift 55 lb. feed bags and handle livestock.
